Classic pork chops

On the stove

  1. In a bowl, mix onion, garlic, maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and water. Set aside.
  2. On your work surface, coat pork chops in oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large, hot skillet set over high heat, brown chops for a few seconds on each side. Add the reserved mixture and coat the chops with it.
  4. Cover and continue cooking over low heat until the thermometer inserted in the centre of the chops reads 142°F (61°C) for pink doneness. Let stand for 3 minutes before serving.
