Stuffed rolls for Christmas

On the stove

  1. Place oven rack in middle position. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet set over medium heat. Sauté onion in butter for 5 minutes or until soft. Add garlic and continue cooking for another minute.
  3. Add ground pork to the skillet and cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Add the rest of the ingredients except the buns and cranberry sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Season to taste.
  4. Cut buns lengthwise so they open like hot dog buns. Stuff buns with pork mixture. Place buns on baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes or until lightly toasted. Serve immediately with cranberry sauce.
