Cuban-style grilled cheese with ham
Preparation
On the stove
- Butter crust of bread.
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and mustard. Spread the bread crumbs with mayonnaise mixture.
- Garnish with Gruyère cheese. Divide pulled ham and pickle slices. Add peppers to taste and slices of raclette cheese. Close the sandwichs.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, place sandwiches and add a large plate, on top to flatten. Allow sandwiches to brown for 4–5 minutes. Remove plate. Gently turn over. Add a large plate again and continue cooking for 4–5 minutes, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- To serve, slice grilled cheese sandwiches in half. Serve with pickles and dill chips, if desired.
