Ramen and air fryer pork flank soup

You can also choose pork tenderloin, a leaner cut than flank. In a hot skillet over high heat, sear slices for about 1 minute on each side in a little olive oil.

- In a small saucepan, bring about 2.5 cm (1 in.) of water to a boil. Add a steamer basket, then the eggs. Cover and cook over medium heat for 8 minutes. Immerse in ice water, then peel the cooled eggs. Place in a jar and add remaining ingredients. Refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.
Broth and noodle
- In a saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer for about 3 minutes. Keep warm if necessary. One minute before serve soup, add drained soft-boiled eggs to warm them up.
- In a saucepan of boiling salted water, cook ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and divide between 4 large bowls. Set broth aside. Top with pork slices, halved soft-boiled eggs and nori sheets. Sprinkle with thai basil (optional), green onions and sesame seeds.
Air fryer

- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, syrup, ginger and garlic.
- Spread meat slices over a large plate. Brush with sauce on each side. Lightly season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate.
- Preheat the air fryer. Place half of belly slices side by side in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 160 °C (325 °F) for 10 minutes or until meat is golden brown and slightly crispy. Keep warm and repeat with remaining slices. Keep warm.
