Pork Tacos
Preparation
On the stove
- In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, melt butter and soften onion and garlic. Add meat and sauté over medium-high heat until cooked and lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper. Add tomato paste, flour and spices. Continue cooking for approximately 1 minute while stirring. Add broth and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute or until mixture thickens. Season to taste.
- In a heated cast-iron skillet, toast tortillas on each side and set aside in a taco container or cloth so they stay moist and warm.
- For serving, arrange toppings, tortillas and meat in bowls in the centre of the table.
