Pork vol-au-vent
Ingredients
Note : you can also used diced leftover cooked pork roast for this recipe.
Preparation
On the stove
- In a large skillet set over high heat, melt 15 ml (1 tbsp.) of butter and lightly brown diced pork for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet set over medium-high heat, sauté shallot, mushrooms and bell pepper in remaining butter until tender. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add flour and cook for 1 minute while stirring. Stir in milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Add meat, peas and lemon juice. Season to taste. Serve inside the puff pastry shells.
