Pork & Sauerkraut Stew

On the stove
- Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat. Brown the pork for 3–4 minutes.
- Add the sauerkraut, white wine, broth, bay leaves, and juniper berries, if desired. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes. Season to taste.
- After 45 minutes, add the green onions and apples, cover, and continue cooking for 20 minutes.
