- In a small bowl, mix the starch into the sake or water. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan over high heat, add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce for around 5 minutes or until sauce becomes slightly syrupy. Whisk in cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil. Set aside.
Boneless pork butt
- In a large skillet over high heat, heat oil and brown meat a few slices at a time for about 2 minutes on each side. Do not salt. Transfer to a plate while cooking remaining meat and return to skillet. Add sauce and heat, stirring to coat slices well.
- Place meat on a serving plate and drizzle with sauce. Sprinkle with green onions, mint, chili pepper and sesame seeds.
- Serve with rice vermicelli.
